Flashbots is the core research and infrastructure organization for the MEV (Miner/Maximal Extractable Value) supply chain on Ethereum. The team's academic research established MEV as a formal concept, and their reference implementations (MEV-Boost, MEV-Share, SUAVE) now underpin the entire Ethereum block-building ecosystem.
MEV-Boost, the flagship product, processes 90%+ of all Ethereum blocks — an infrastructure position that would be impossible to replicate. The organization has deliberately structured itself as neutral, non-extractive infrastructure to preserve legitimacy across validators, builders, and searchers.
SUAVE, the sovereign mempool platform in staged mainnet rollout, extends the same neutral-infrastructure design to cross-chain MEV coordination. It represents the next phase of the organization's mission to democratize MEV.
